The Real McQuays are the duo of Colter and Holly McQuay. It all started after we got married and decided that we needed an email address that we could share for common services (yea we're nerds 🤓). the.mcquays was taken so then with a spark of inspiration, The Real McQuays was born.
So it's been quite some time since our last post, and you may be wondering what we've been up to. We have slowed down the pace a little from the first part of our trip, but it has still been an adventure, of its own kind.
As non-trekkers, we are not sure why we decided that a 17 day trek through Nepal would be a good starting point, but we are so glad we did - despite what our journals might say...
The Notebook Project was an idea that came we started planning for our trip. The idea was to randomly leave notebooks in indiscriminate locations throughout our epic adventure with the goal that people would find them and write in them. In a nutshell, it's an inversion of the message in a bottle idea. Instead of one message floating in the ocean searching for a recipient, it's a bottle, floating around the world in search of messages.
